At least 10 citizens of Belarus who worked at the Ozon warehouse were hospitalized with meningitis. One of them died

Twelve citizens of Belarus working at one of the enterprises in the urban district of Istra, Moscow Region, were hospitalized with suspected meningitis. One of them, according to unconfirmed information, died. This was reported by the Embassy of Belarus in Russia.

The embassy said that the diagnosis was not confirmed in two hospitalized, eight are in a moderate condition, one is in a serious condition.

On November 28, Mash reported that the employees of the Ozon warehouse in the Moscow region were massively ill with meningitis. According to their relatives, more than 30 people ended up in hospitals near Moscow. According to the channel, all the infected lived in the Nakhabino hostel, 4-5 people in a room. A few days ago, they had a sharp headache, a fever and a cough. Despite this, they continued to go to work. The channel wrote that many of the sick are in intensive care.

Later, Rospotrebnadzor stated that they had “taken control” of the situation with cases of infection with infectious meningitis in Istra among Ozon workers. The department said that 11 people were hospitalized with symptoms of the disease, seven of them showed signs of the disease during a medical examination of contact persons. Another 15 people with signs of SARS were placed in medical facilities for treatment, observation and laboratory examination.

The information was confirmed by the press service of Ozon. The company reported that several employees from the warehouse in Novaya Riga fell ill with meningococcal infection, but there is no mass infection among workers, and the warehouse itself has been processed and continues to function.
