The Russian Ministry of Culture has approved a list of priority topics for state support of film production for 2023. RBC writes about this with reference to a press release from the department.
Some of the topics were chosen in order to fulfill the decrees of Vladimir Putin. Among them is a decree on the approval of the state policy for the preservation of traditional values, on the announcement in Russia of decades of childhood, science and technology, and on holding the Year of the Teacher.
The list of topics included:
- Neo-colonial policy of the countries of the Anglo-Saxon world. degradation of Europe. Formation of a multipolar world”;
- “Popularization of service in the Russian Armed Forces. The unity of society around the support of the army (front-line brigades, volunteers, volunteers). Strengthening the status of the military profession on the examples of historical events and modern history”;
- "Historical cinema. Lessons of history, lessons of memory. Opposition to attempts to falsify history. Peacekeeping Mission of Russia”;
- “Formation of life values and guidelines at the stage of growing up. Disorientation in public space, oversaturation of information, formation of one's own thinking”;
- “Opposition to modern manifestations of the ideology of Nazism and fascism. Popularization of the heroism and selflessness of Russian soldiers during a special military operation.
The Ministry of Culture expects that filmmakers will rely on this list in film production “We also consider it necessary to focus on countering attempts to falsify history and modern manifestations of Nazi ideology, talk about the heroism and selflessness of Russian soldiers during a special operation, the work of front-line brigades and volunteers,” — said Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova.
