Two Ukrainian embassies abroad received letters with "very specific threats." Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this during a meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Poland, according to Ukrinform. This is not about the embassy in Madrid, which was cordoned off by the police after finding the envelope with the bomb.
On December 1, it became known that envelopes with bombs were sent by mail in Spain: in two days, the police found six such parcels. The recipients were Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, the Ministry of Defense, the Torrejon de Ardoz air base near Madrid, the Ukrainian ambassador, and a company from Zaragoza that supplies weapons to Ukraine. The sixth was a package for the US Embassy in Madrid.
On November 30, a similar package was sent to the Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid. The explosive was in the letter, it was opened by one of the guards. There was an explosion, the man received a hand injury.
“This is definitely a new form of terror. We are working very hard with the Spanish authorities to find out who is behind this. We certainly have a guess who is behind this, but we need to trace the entire network of agents and people involved in this campaign,” Kuleba stressed.
Kuleba did not specify which countries and threats he was talking about. He promised that soon the department will make an official comment on this matter.
