Zamoskvoretsky court refused Ilya Yashin to challenge the status of “foreign agent”
During the meeting, it turned out that Yashin’s foreign funding was money from advertising on his YouTube channel.
Lawyer Prokhorov: “Yashin received funds from YouTube Ireland, why is Ukraine listed as a source of funding, and not Ireland? Is this in line with the law?”
Respondent: “The Ministry of Justice has decided that this money is going to finance Ukraine.”
Ilya Yashin: “This money was received absolutely legally by me as an individual entrepreneur. All this money was taxed. Are all bloggers who collaborate with YouTube and Google turning into foreign agents? My taxes went into your salaries, according to this logic, all foreign agents.
