Briefs, pads and combed dogs. The basic needs of the Russian army are met by volunteers and parents of schoolchildren

"10 combed Spitz – a sock for a soldier"

Volunteers from the Golden Hands of an Angel service group in Kursk decided to help Russian soldiers in Ukraine by collecting dog hair to knit socks and belts, Novosti Kursk reports . They turned to dog owners, specifying that they needed not sheared, but combed animal hair.

In the Kursk group of dog lovers, after the suggestion of volunteers, they clarified that wool and small Spitz would be suitable, and even sweaters can be knitted from large dogs.

“The pilot project is knitted things from dog hair. We, as cynologists, dog owners, were asked to collect wool. 10 high-quality combed Spitz is a sock for a soldier, and you can knit a sweater from a Caucasian. Wool from any dogs can be used for sewing belts so that the children's overworked backs do not hurt and are warm.

The Golden Hands of an Angel movement group says that volunteers also sew stretchers for the front in 85 Russian cities. Russians are offered to send funds to the specified card numbers.

Not only dog lovers are attracted to help in knitting socks for military personnel. In a kindergarten in Izhevsk, parents were offered to knit socks for participants in the "special operation", the Telegram channel "Caution, news" reports . The Russians received a message in the parents' chat saying that the kindergarten would provide them with yarn. The message was taken from the website of the "Help to the Izhevsk Front" project, with the help of which local residents are organized to send humanitarian aid. Parents did not respond to the message.

Also, one of the interlocutors of the channel said that on New Year's Eve for children in kindergarten they would hold a contest of postcards to the military, so far – at will: “I still have a very small child. I don't tell him about SVO. Nothing was said in the kindergarten either in September or October. Only one thing pleases – postcards and socks are optional for the time being.

Private knitting company "Night Witches ZOV"

“Today they brought the fabric. Here, more than 40 underpants will be sewn”, “We could take underpants for sewing, our hands were free. Sergiev Posad”, “I sewed 11 shorts, I can send them tomorrow,” the women write in the Telegram chat “PMC Night Witches ZOV”. They ironically decipher the abbreviation PMC as "Private Knitting Company". In the chat, they actively discuss who will be able to sew what number of shorts or socks for military personnel, and report on the work done.

Many use fabric that has been lying around since the 1980s and 90s, which they are happy to tell like-minded people. Different materials are used – panties are sewn from fabric with elephants or unnecessary sheets.

Women also knit hats and vests. Regularly in the chat they report on the work done and the funds spent. It is clear from the reports that many are missing materials: “I have a mix there. Not so much for shorts, but for pants. I didn’t particularly stock up on fabric in my life. ”

Gaskets for the needs of the army

The topic of sending gaskets to servicemen during the mobilization was discussed more than once. In September, Dmitry Perminov, a member of the Federation Council Committee on Defense, reacted to a video where in one of the military units in the Altai Territory, mobilized Russians are advised to buy women's sanitary pads as insoles in shoes, as well as tampons in order to plug bullet wounds with them. Then he stated that reports of a shortage of equipment for the mobilized were fakes.

In November, sanitary napkins were mentioned in the group collecting humanitarian aid for the Molot Perm tank battalion and other units on the front line. The report says the men are asking for women's night pads to keep their "feet dry in boots." In conclusion, women are encouraged to collect pads for military personnel.

Rugs – to the mobilization department

Not all Russians help voluntarily and unite in communities for this. Many receive requests in parent chats, from schools, or from leaders of sports sections. The parents of gymnasts from Chelyabinsk were asked for tourist mats for the mobilized, the Chelyabinsk Urbanist Telegram channel reported .

The report says that “employees of the mobilization department” approached the sports institution and offered them to bring gymnastic mats for the military personnel of the Chebarkul Tank Division No. 90.

Also, with the help of parental chats, they collect money for the military. In Novosibirsk school number 24, a collection was announced for a memorial plaque for the deceased Kamil Khabibnazarov. And in Tambov, parents were offered to donate for the treatment of a participant in hostilities in Ukraine.

Making beds for soldiers instead of school lessons

In Penza, students of School No. 32 are removed from classes, instead of classes they prepare beds for the mobilized. As Sirena reported with reference to one of the students, Olymp sports complex (a division of the school) was given to accommodate military personnel, now schoolchildren are being involved in preparing the premises. So, instead of lessons, the boys were engaged in assembling beds, and the girls made the beds.

"Siren" was confirmed the information that the mobilized were placed in the FLC: "We are closed, we have soldiers here."

Fish and sheep for mobilization, millions for death

The Russian authorities support the military, as well as their relatives, in different ways. On Sakhalin, the families of mobilized Russians were promised to be given 5 kg of fish, and the head of Tuva, Vladislav Khovalyg , instructed to give families a live sheep and coal for each mobilized Tuvan. Families were also promised 50 kg of flour and two sacks of potatoes for sending a family member to the war in Ukraine.

Money is promised not only to military personnel, but also to their relatives, however, only in the event of the death of a family member at the front. The family receives a one-time payment of 7.4 million rubles from the government for the death of a Russian serviceman. After the war, Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which an additional 5 million rubles are allocated to the family of the deceased – in total, families receive 12.4 million. Compensation is transferred in equal shares to the parents of the deceased, his wife and children. Also, the relatives of the victims will receive benefits for life: if there are three relatives, they pay 5.2 thousand rubles each, if two – 6.9 thousand rubles each, one relative will receive 10.4 thousand rubles a month.

Form at your own expense

Despite all the promises of the authorities, some who went to war have to buy winter uniforms at their own expense. Thus, servicemen from the 1st motorized rifle company of the 80th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Navy were not issued demi-season and winter uniforms. At the same time, according to the documents, she was “issued” back in the summer, but was immediately written off as combat losses, one of the military told Vot Tak.

“The commander said that we received uniforms and now no one will give a new one, there are no winter sets of clothes in warehouses. Mugs and spoons come with army bowlers, they were also written off. The command writes off everything. No one will check whether it was or not, ”said the serviceman.

According to him, everything want to go home and retire from the army. Stories about large monetary allowances are just “for show,” he stressed.

“All the money goes to exist here somehow. For now, you just have to survive."
