Ukraine is preparing to respond against the background of the accumulation of allied troops in Belarus. This was stated by the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev, a video message was published on the command's Facebook page.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are constantly monitoring the situation in the republic and preparing forces for an "adequate response." At the same time, according to the Ukrainian side, there is no threat from Belarus so far.
“On the territory of Belarus, the accumulation of the allied group of troops continues. So we are constantly monitoring this situation and preparing our forces for an adequate response. Now there is no threat from Belarus yet. The work being done by the Armed Forces of Ukraine should increase the resilience of our defense and the adequacy of our response to the growth of this threat.”
If the military threat from Belarus increases, the General Staff will provide additional forces, Naev stressed.
On October 9, Belarus accused Ukraine of "preparing an attack." In March, Lukashenka, at a meeting with Vladimir Putin, also hinted at some kind of intelligence.
