The former chairman of the council of deputies of Velsk (Arkhangelsk region) Dmitry Istomin died in the war in Ukraine. He went there in October as a “volunteer”, giving up his position.
“He consciously chose his path, saying that his conscience does not allow him to stay on the sidelines in such a difficult time for the country, and for him it is a matter of honor,” claims administration of the Velsky district.
Istomin was 28 years old, before he worked as a teacher of additional education in the House of Children’s Creativity.
