Twitter Files: Elon Musk reveals internal correspondence from former Twitter employees regarding the sensational story of the removal of materials about Hunter Biden.

According to journalist Matt Tabby, to whom Musk gave correspondence and internal documents, in 2020, deleting or checking tweets at the request of political parties has become the norm for employees. Both Democrats and Republicans used this tool, but much of Twitter was based on personal connections. Which, according to Tabby, the Democrats had more – so the social network “worked” more in their direction.

According to Tabby, after the publication of the New York Post article with leaks about Hunter Biden, Twitter took emergency measures to limit the spread of this story. The social network simply removed links to the investigation, marked such materials as “unsafe”, and also blocked the ability to share the link in private messages (for example, they do with child porn).

Tabby notes that the head of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, was not involved in this, although the decision on such tough moderation was made at the highest level. Employees were told that Biden tweets were being deleted because they violated the company’s policy on “hacked/hacked materials” (not everyone believed this). According to the journalist, the former head of the legal department, Vijaya Gadde, played a key role in removing references about Biden.
