“She is alive, she has lost weight, she still has little strength.” Maria Kolesnikova’s father was allowed to see her

The father of the Belarusian opposition politician Maria Kolesnikova, Alexander, was allowed to see his daughter. This was announced by the Telegram channel of Viktor Babariko.

"She is alive. Masha has lost weight, she still has little strength, ”the channel reports.

It is known that the 10-minute meeting took place under the supervision of a doctor and prison staff. Maria was transferred from the Homel ambulance hospital to the colony over the weekend. Now she is in a medical hospital, where she will spend at least 10 days. The diagnosis that the doctors called was a perforated ulcer.

Maria Kolesnikova asked me to convey to the doctors of the emergency hospital, who saved her life, many thanks.

On November 28, Kolesnikova, sentenced in Belarus to 11 years in prison, was taken to intensive care. The lawyer found out about this only on November 29, earlier he was not allowed to see Kolesnikova in the colony, explaining that there was no corresponding statement from her.

On November 22, it became known that Kolesnikova had been placed in a punishment cell. Then the lawyer was also not allowed to see the prisoner, again justifying this by the lack of a statement. According to Babariko, three penalties were imposed on Maria: on November 9 and 10, she was allegedly in the wrong place during working hours, and on November 11, she allegedly treated the colony staff impolitely.

Kolesnikova was sentenced to 11 years in prison by a Belarusian court on charges of creating an extremist group, publicly calling for harm to national security, and plotting to seize power in an unconstitutional way. She is serving her sentence in the Gomel IK-4.
