The automobile part of the Crimean bridge is open to traffic, the Crimean news agency reports , citing the press service of Uprdor Taman.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said earlier that it is planned to fully restore traffic on both lanes of the bridge by December 20. After that, the spans of the left side of the bridge will be dismantled, the repair of which is promised to be completed by March 30 next year.
On October 8, early in the morning, a truck exploded on the automobile part of the Crimean bridge. Due to the explosion, the tanks of a train passing along the railway part of the bridge caught fire. Four people died .
The authorities of the annexed peninsula said that “Ukrainian vandals” were behind the sabotage. Later, the Russian authorities blamed the explosion on the special services of Ukraine.
The FSB said that the organizer of the explosion on the Crimean bridge on October 8 is the head of military intelligence of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov. Another 12 people were allegedly involved in the attack, most of them have already been detained in Moscow.
