TV channel "Rain" after Latvia has deprived him of his broadcasting license, will continue to work in YouTube, but plans to get a new license in another country. This was announced to RBC by the general director of the TV channel Natalya Sindeeva.
“We will continue to work at YouTube. Let's switch off the cable networks for a while. We'll lose money. We will get a new license in another country,” Sindeeva said.
On December 6, the Latvian National Electronic Media Council (NEPLP) annulled the broadcasting license of the Dozhd TV channel. This happened after the presenter Alexei Korostelev uttered a phrase on the air about supplying the Russian mobilized, for which he was fired .
Dozhd CEO Natalya Sindeeva told Meduza in an interview that the channel did not try to "negotiate" with the Latvian authorities and that she regretted Korostelev's hasty dismissal.
