For the first time in three weeks, Russia attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made Shahed-136 drones. This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its daily report.
According to him, over the past day (December 6-7), the Ukrainian military shot down 14 Iranian drones. One Russian-made Orlan-10 and two more drones, the type of which is being specified, were also shot down. The General Staff does not say where exactly Russia used the UAVs and whether they hit the target. The head of the Dnepropetrovsk regional military administration, Valentina Reznichenko, writes that on the night of December 6-7, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down eight of the eight drones launched by Russia towards the region. According to preliminary data, these were Shahed-136.
According to the BBC, the last time Russian use of Iranian drones was reported was on November 17. Then the Ukrainian military destroyed five Shahed-136 drones in the central region that attacked Ukraine from the territory of Belarus.
