Suspicious envelopes continue to be sent to Ukrainian embassies, diplomats in 15 countries have already received threats, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said on his Facebook page.
According to him, security measures have been strengthened in the embassies and consulates of Ukraine for a week, in case of receiving suspicious parcels, the police, cynologists, pyrotechnicians and forensic specialists arrive. The minister published a photo showing the work of the special services, noting that it was made in Poland.
“Over the past two days, suspicious packages have arrived at embassies in Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Denmark, as well as at the consulate in Gdansk. There are already 31 cases in 15 countries: Austria (1), Vatican City (1), Denmark (1), Spain (5), Italy (4), Kazakhstan (1), the Netherlands (1), Poland (6), Portugal ( 2), Romania (2), USA (1), Hungary (2), France (1), Croatia (1), Czech Republic (2).
All envelopes, according to Kuleba, indicate the same sender address: a Tesla car dealership in the German city of Sindelfingen. At the same time, the envelopes come from post offices that are not equipped with video surveillance systems, and there are no traces of DNA on the parcels. This indicates the professional level of the implementation of the distribution, the minister stressed. He called what is happening "a campaign of terror against Ukrainian diplomats", unprecedented at the world level.
“I don’t remember a case in history when so many embassies and consulates of one country were subjected to such massive attacks in such a short period of time.”
On December 1, it became known that in Spain, law enforcement officers found six parcels with bombs, they were received by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, the Ministry of Defense, the Torrejon de Ardoz airbase near Madrid, the Ukrainian ambassador and a company from Zaragoza that supplies weapons to Ukraine, as well as the embassy USA in Madrid. Then the envelopes were received by two more embassies of Ukraine abroad.
