Croatia beat Brazil on penalties to advance to World Cup semi-finals

The Croatian national team became the first semi-finalist of the World Cup in Qatar. In the 1/4 final match, Zlatko Dalic's wards beat Brazil in a penalty shootout. Regular time ended in a goalless draw. In the first minute added to the second half, Neymar opened the scoring. Bruno Petkovic equalized in the 116th minute.

In the penalty shootout, the players from Croatia were more accurate – 4:2. Nikola Vlašić, Lovro Mayer, Luka Modric and Mislav Oršić distinguished themselves in the Dalic team in the 11-meter series.

The Croatian national team will meet in the semi-finals of the World Cup with the winner of the pair Argentina – the Netherlands. This match will also take place today, December 9, at 22:00 Moscow time. Croatia is in the semi-finals of the World Cup for the second time in a row. At the 2018 World Cup, the Croats reached the final, but lost to France 2:4.
