Elena Kaminskas (Shebunova), the mother of the children of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, was banned from entering Lithuania for five years, and to the countries of the Schengen zone for three years, she was also deprived of her Lithuanian residence permit (residence permit), reports the Lithuanian edition of LRT.
During the court session, Kaminskas tried to appeal against the annulment of the residence permit in the republic, but the court upheld the decision; in addition, she also received a ban on entry into the Schengen countries. The issue of whether her husband, Lithuanian businessman Adolfas Kaminskas, has Lithuanian citizenship, will be decided in the next two weeks. The hearings were closed until it was decided not to give more detailed comments.
The publication notes that three of the four children of Elena Kaminskas have Lithuanian citizenship.
Shoigu's illegitimate daughter was granted citizenship in 2019 after his ex-lover and mother of his children Elena Kaminskas (Shebunova) married Lithuanian Adolfas Kaminskas. The Lithuanian recognized the girl as his daughter and filed an application with the Lithuanian Migration Department, LRT reported in its investigation. Before that, The Insider found out that Adolfas Kaminskas was a modest entrepreneur before marrying Shebunova, his company was engaged in the sale of mopeds and spare parts for them. After his marriage, he began to get rich quickly and suddenly became the beneficiary of several Lithuanian enterprises that own assets worth about 20 million euros in several parts of Vilnius.
After the release of the LRT and The Insider investigations, the Lithuanian Migration Department began investigating the dual citizenship case of businessman Kaminskas. He did not inform the agency of his dual citizenship within six months allotted by law. If he illegally retained Lithuanian citizenship after obtaining Russian citizenship, then he will be taken away not only from Kaminskas, but also from his minors and adopted children.
