The Ministry of Defense collects bayans, guitars and balalaikas for the military to “inspire for a feat”

The Ministry of Defense announced the collection of musical instruments to be sent to the front. People are asked to bring button accordions, accordions, harmonicas, guitars, and balalaikas. The Ministry of Defense sent a corresponding letter to the Committee for Culture of St. Petersburg.

According to the Ministry of Defense, military personnel need musical instruments to support morale, rally, inspire for feats, and provide moral and psychological relief.

This is the first "people's gathering", which was organized not by volunteers, but directly by the Ministry of Defense at the official level. Most often, such events are organized by the relatives of the mobilized or volunteers. In Russia, for the needs of the army, they collect pads for use as insoles, socks, underpants, and events are organized for their tailoring, combing dogs to collect yarn.

Many mobilized have difficulty with uniforms, they are forced to buy their own uniforms and winter clothes with their own money. Also, volunteers in social networks organize collection campaigns so that the army needs at least a basic supply of medicines, clothing and food.

But even such actions are not always held voluntarily; in some regions, state employees are forced to raise money for the needs of the army, or they simply deduct the necessary amounts from salaries.
