The car of the "vice-governor" of the Kherson region, Vitaly Bulyuk, was blown up by a mine, Interfax reports , citing the local "Minister of Health" Vadim Ilmiyev. The latter said that Bulyuk was wounded, he was in a state of moderate severity.
It is also reported that the driver carrying Bulyuk died on the spot. The pro-Russian Telegram channel War Gonzo "military correspondent" Semyon Pegov writes that the car was blown up near Skadovsk, on the left bank of the Dnieper.
Prior to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Bulyuk worked in the Kherson Regional Council as a deputy head. He received a “promotion” in May 2022 – the Russian authorities who occupied the territory appointed Vladimir Saldo as his deputy, who headed the Kherson region.
Russian troops were finally driven out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the right-bank part of the Kherson region on November 11. Two days before that, on November 9, another “vice-governor” of the region, Kirill Stremousov, died in an accident. This happened on the same day that the Russian Defense Ministry announced the withdrawal of Russian troops from the region.
On November 11, an assassination attempt was reported on the occupation “deputy minister for culture, sports and tourism” of the Zaporozhye region Andriy Boyko. The explosion occurred in the entrance of his house.
On August 29, it became known about the death of the Ukrainian ex-People's Deputy Alexei Kovalev, who went over to the side of Russia. Ukrainian journalist Andrei Tsaplienko, citing sources in the occupied territory, said that Kovalev was stabbed to death in his own house in the city of Holaya Pristan.
