Stroypark shopping center caught fire in Balashikha near Moscow

In Balashikha, Moscow Region, on December 12, a fire broke out on the territory of the Stroypark shopping center in the Savvino microdistrict. According to RIA Novosti, the security guard of the shopping center was injured.

The victim suffered upper respiratory tract burns because he tried to put out the fire himself before firefighters arrived.

The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told the agency that it all started with a fire in building materials in an open area, after which the fire spread to the first floor of the building.

The fire area is 350 square meters. The fire was assigned the third number of complexity. 45 people and 14 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing.

Customers and employees of the mall are being evacuated.

This is not the first major fire in Moscow and the Moscow region in recent times. On December 9, the Mega Khimki shopping center caught fire , a security guard died. The emergency services said that the cause of the fire was a malfunction of equipment and violations during work.
