Aleksey Gorinov, convicted of “fake news” about the army, complained about the lack of medical care

Former municipal deputy Aleksey Gorinov, sentenced to 6 years and 11 months in prison for "fake news" about the army, complained about the cold, hunger, and the lack of proper treatment in the colony. The message was published in the Telegram channel of his supporters “Freedom to Alexei Gorinov!”.

The publication claims that Gorinov has been ill since December 9, the convicts took him to the medical unit, but two days later he was sent back. During all this time, neither a doctor nor a paramedic approached him.

“Complains of cold, hunger, lack of hot water, inability to lie down until lights out, despite the fact that he has a fever, he is tormented by a constant cough, shortness of breath.”

The lawyers saw Gorinov after his return from the medical unit, the visiting room was poorly heated, but the deputy called it warm compared to the place of his permanent residence. Gorinov claims that in such conditions and in the absence of medical assistance, he will not stay there even for six months. The defense tried to meet with the head of the institution and the head of the medical unit, but the meeting was refused. They were asked to come back in a week.

On July 8, Gorinov was sentenced to 7 years in a penal colony under the article about "fake" about the army. Gorinov called the "special operation" in Ukraine a war and talked about the death of Ukrainian children as a result of the Russian invasion. In September, Gorinov was sent to a colony, with a one-month commutation of the sentence, to 6 years and 11 months in prison.
