EU member states agreed to grant Bosnia and Herzegovina the status of a candidate country for joining the community, Agence France-Presse reports citing a diplomatic source.
According to the agency, this decision was made by EU ministers for European affairs.
The day before, the media reported that the country will receive the status of an EU candidate in accordance with the recommendation of the European Commission in October, as the bloc began to focus on the strategic importance of the region.
