Bellingcat analyst Arik Toller was able to identify Pavel using a photo from his deleted VKontakte page.
We Can Explain found that in this picture, Pavel is wearing a helmet similar to the American Enhanced Combat Helmet, wrapped in a NATO Multicam color case. The cost of such a helmet is up to 100 thousand rubles. On his hands are Mechanix M-Pact tactical shooting gloves, on his feet are Lowa Zephyr tactical boots worth at least 26,000 rubles. Prigozhin's son has a vest from the British manufacturer DCS Warrior Assault System, worth 22,000 rubles. The only element of Russian-made equipment worn by Pavel is the Lynx knee pads.
At the end of November, We Can Explain drew attention to the fact that the former head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, was fighting in NATO equipment. After that, Prigozhin's press service published an answer to the question of whether Rogozin really met with Wagner PMC fighters in the Donbas. In it, “Putin’s cook” criticized a Russian official for his equipment: “If a man in NATO clothes approached the positions of Wagner PMCs, then I think we would send him in a plastic bag for identification.”
