Electricity cut off across Ukraine after Russian shelling

Emergency power cuts are urgently introduced throughout Ukraine after Russian shelling, Zelensky's Office reports.

At the same time, the Ukrainian media are beginning to report on other consequences of the shelling. So, as a result of a strike on a residential building in Krivoy Rog, two people were killed.

In the Kharkiv region, critical infrastructure and energy facilities have been damaged , specialists and rescuers are already working on the ground.

At the beginning of the war, the Russian side claimed that it only hit military targets (which, of course, was not true). However, later Russia stopped hiding that it was also attacking the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine.

Right during today's shelling of Ukraine, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev published a post about what, in his opinion, can be considered legitimate military targets. He directly says that among them are “any objects related to military infrastructure, as well as civilian infrastructure that contributes to the achievement of military goals (bridges, transport stations, roads, energy facilities, factories and workshops, at least partially fulfilling military orders, etc.)".
