The Croatian team finished third at the World Cup, beating Morocco 2-1.
The first goal in the seventh minute of the match was scored by Croatian defender Josko Guardiol. Moroccan defender Ashraf Dari equalized in the ninth minute, while Croatian attacking midfielder Mislav Orsic scored the winning goal in the 42nd minute. Previously, the Croats have already won bronze – in 1998 at the 16th World Championships in France. In 2018, they took second place at the World Championships in Russia.
