The government of the Sakhalin region demanded the heads of districts to withdraw from civil servants the certificates issued to them about deferrals from mobilization. SOTA writes about this with reference to the relevant document.
It states that district commissions for booking citizens on reserve must withdraw their certificates by December 20, 2022. In addition, until December 29, the heads of the districts will receive forms of strict accountability, that is, certificates, with the military registration and enlistment offices of the Sakhalin Region. As SOTA emphasizes, the deferment can be withdrawn only in two cases: either when the deferral is canceled, or when the mobilization is completed.
Mobilization in Russia was canceled only in words – Vladimir Putin never signed an official document. Thus, the withdrawal of deferrals may be associated with the revision and reduction of their number for the second wave of mobilization.
