Elon Musk is looking for a new CEO for Twitter, writes CNBC, citing anonymous sources.
Musk has previously said he won't be a CEO for long and promised to find someone to run the company later. On December 18, he reported that a successor had not yet been found: "The question is not to find a CEO, the question is to find a CEO who can keep Twitter alive."
Musk also recently conducted an informal poll in which he asked users if he should step down as head of the company. Most of the 17 million respondents (57.5%) voted "yes", and he promised to follow the will of the survey participants.
Musk bought Twitter on October 27, after the deal he fired the previous CEO and CFO, as well as half of the staff. Then Twitter began to block the accounts of well-known journalists due to "violation of the rules." The blocked users themselves claim that they criticized Musk on their pages or wrote about accounts that track the movements of private jets, including Musk's plane. At the same time, for some politicians, on the contrary, the rules are softened. So, in November, the account of former US President Donald Trump was unblocked .
