A fragment of a mine that hit the spine of the former head of Roskosmos Dmitry Rogozin during the shelling of a hotel in Donetsk is “unrecoverable”. This was stated by doctors to Rogozin's assistant, RIA Novosti reports .
According to the assistant, Rogozin himself considers his condition to be satisfactory.
At the same time, Baza previously wrote that Rogozin received a shrapnel wound to the soft tissues of the head, penetrating shrapnel wounds to the buttocks and left thigh.
On the morning of December 22, Rogozin commented on the shelling by posting on his Telegram channel. According to him, during the shelling, a “working meeting” was held in a calm atmosphere. Rogozin also claims that in eight years the Armed Forces of Ukraine have never shelled this place, and now someone has leaked information.
“Someone leaked information, and around 19:45 there were several high-precision hits, including in the place where we were. They beat me with a caliber of 120 or 155 mm. The investigation will determine where and who.
Rogozin clarified that a metal fragment of about 3-4 mm “entered above the right shoulder blade”, he will have to undergo an operation.
Baza writes that, along with Rogozin, another former top manager of Roscosmos, Artyom Melnikov, was injured. During the shelling, he, like Rogozin, was in the Shesh-Besh restaurant. According to the publication, they celebrated the birthday of Rogozin. Until recently, Melnikov headed the internal audit service at Roscosmos, but after the arrival of the new head, Yuri Borisov, he was fired.
According to TASS , State Duma deputy Alexei Zhuravlev, who was with them, one person, a special forces soldier, was killed during the shelling of the hotel. He also confirmed that Rogozin had been wounded in the back by shrapnel. Neither Zhuravlev nor Rogozin are going to leave Donbass.

The wounding of Rogozin became known on the evening of December 21.
