Kabaeva’s annual income in NMG fell to 155 million rubles – “We can explain”

Russian gymnast, head of the board of directors of the National Media Group (NMG) and mother of the children of Russian President Vladimir Putin Alina Kabaeva began to earn almost half as much as a year earlier: her salary for 2021 amounted to 155.4 million rubles, that is, 12.95 million rubles per month. The drop in Kabaeva’s income is reported by the Telegram channel “We Can Explain” with reference to the income statement from the FTS database.

At the same time, according to official data, she still earns 15 times more than Putin. Kabaeva also has deposits in VTB and SMP banks for a total of 335 thousand rubles. In addition, her mother owns a 260-meter apartment worth about 600 million rubles.

As The Insider found out earlier, in 2018 Kabaeva earned 785 million rubles in NMG. In 2019 – 55.4 million, and in 2020 her annual salary was 300 million rubles, that is, almost twice as much as in the next year, 2021. The income of the leadership of the NMG, including Kabaeva, is hidden, the channel “We can explain” notes. In the financial statements for 2020, there was no information on remuneration to top managers.

After the start of the war, sanctions were imposed on Kabaeva by Canada, Great Britain and the European Union and the United States . The Swiss newspaper SonntagsZeitung reported that in 2015 and 2019 Kabaeva gave birth to two sons from Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was told by a friend of the doctor who took birth. The first birth took place in Switzerland, as "everything had to be kept secret."
