The state prosecution requested 9 years in prison for the leader of the "Left Resistance" Daria Polyudova, she is charged with the creation of an "extremist community." This is reported by the Telegram channel "Free Kirill Zhukov".

Kirill Kotova, who is involved in the same case with her, was asked for three years in prison for participating in an "extremist community."

Updated (14:10 Moscow time): Polyudova was sentenced to 9 years in prison for organizing an "extremist community", Kotov received 3 years probation.

According to information published on the website of the court, Polyudova is also charged with two episodes of public calls for terrorism for her 2019 posts on the Left Resistance page. In one of the publications, Russian President Vladimir Putin is accused of treason.

An activist from Krasnodar, Darya Polyudova, joined the Communist Party of the Russian Federation during her university years, and then joined the Left Front and the unregistered ROT-Front party. Polyudova took to solo pickets on numerous occasions, including in support of Pussy Riot, defendants in the Bolotnaya and Moscow cases, and against the war in Ukraine, even before the February 24 Russian invasion.

In May 2021, she was sentenced to six years in prison for "justifying terrorism." The reason for initiating the case was the publication on VKontakte, in which, according to the prosecution, she justifies the activities of Shamil Basayev and Aslan Maskhadov. The prosecution charged her with statements about the actions of the “Lubyansk shooter” Yevgeny Manyurov, who on December 19, 2019 opened fire near the FSB buildings on Lubyanka.
