16 people died as a result of Russian shelling of the Kherson region over the past day

The death toll from Russian shelling of the Kherson region has risen to 16 people. 64 people were injured. Among the dead are three employees of the State Emergency Service who cleared mines in the Berislav region. This was announced by the head of the regional military administration Yaroslav Yanushevich.

In total, over the past day, at the time of writing the news, Russia fired at the Kherson region 71 times. Of these, 41 times she attacked Kherson. As a result of this shelling, at least 10 of the 16 people mentioned by Yanushevich were killed. The deceased employees of the State Emergency Service are sapper Sergey Kurinny , driver Dmitry Krasnoshchokov and paramedic-rescuer Alexei Sych. Kurinny and Krasnoshchokov left daughters.

Russia shelled Kherson on 24 December. The shelling was carried out from multiple launch rocket systems. The deputy head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Timoshenko, said that residential buildings, office buildings and transport were hit, among other things. Of the injured, at least 18 are in serious condition.

Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the Russian shelling of the Kherson region: “Social networks are likely to mark these photos as “sensitive content”. But this is not sensitive content – this is the real life of Ukraine and Ukrainians. The terrorist country continues to carry the Russian world in the form of shelling of the civilian population.
