Baza: a former United Russia party turned out to be an arsonist at a military registration and enlistment office in the Saratov region

The arsonist of the military enlistment office in the village of Ivanteevka, Saratov region, turned out to be a former deputy from United Russia, Daniil Akimov. Baza writes about it.

The arson occurred on the night of December 23rd. Akimov lit it and threw a plastic bottle with gasoline and oil into the duty officer's office. The fire was extinguished, and he did not have time to spread to other rooms, but the duty officer's office was badly damaged. According to Baza, on the morning of December 24, the police found and detained Akimov. He did not deny his involvement in the arson and said that he set it up for fun.

According to Baza, in 2011 Akimov was an individual entrepreneur and a member of the council of the Znamensky municipality of the Ivanteevsky district of the Saratov region from United Russia. This year he was convicted under the article on the production and sale of goods without labeling (Article 171.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

After the outbreak of the war, arson of military registration and enlistment offices began throughout Russia. After the announcement of "partial" mobilization, their number increased. Most often, anonymous guerrillas carry out arson, but sometimes they are people who openly oppose the war. So, in May, in Udmurtia, a village teacher Ilya Farber threw "Molotov cocktails" into the buildings of the military registration and enlistment office and the recruiting office. In November, he was sentenced to 3 years and 2 months in a strict regime colony.
