Queues lined up at the blood donation center in Kherson. The deputy head of the presidential office, Kyrylo Timoshenko, published photos from the center on his Telegram channel.
“This is Kherson. Blood donation centers. Lines of people who want to become donors and save the victims of yesterday's terror of the city. People are ready to stand in line all day for the sake of salvation. This is the super strength of Ukrainians!” Tymoshenko wrote.
On Saturday, as a result of the shelling of Kherson by the Russian military, 16 people were killed. At least 64 were injured and 18 are in critical condition. Among the dead are three employees of the State Emergency Service who cleared mines in the Berislav region.
In total, Russia shelled the Kherson region 71 times over the past day. Of these, 41 times she attacked Kherson.
