Russia will supply Iran with a squadron of Su-35 fighters – i24NEWS

Russia will supply Iran with 24 Su-35 fighters. This is reported by the i24NEWS TV channel, citing intelligence sources monitoring deals between the two countries.

According to them, these fighters were produced for Egypt. The US intervened in the deal and persuaded Cairo to abandon it, leaving Russia to look for new buyers. The next contender was Iran, which supplies Russia with Shahed-136 drones. According to i24NEWS sources, Iranian pilots are already being trained to fly Russian fighter jets.

In addition to aviation, Iran will receive air defense systems from Russia. He can immediately take them into service in order to prepare for a possible Israeli attack. In return, Iran will give Russia 300 Shahed-136 drones. According to the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, Russia received 1,700 Iranian UAVs in total. Of these, 540 have already been released on the territory of Ukraine.
