The investigation into the case of the arson of the military registration and enlistment office in Nizhnevartovsk reclassified the charge from "hooliganism" to "terrorist attack", TASS reports . Now the defendants in the case, Vladislav Borisenko and Vasily Gavrilishen, are charged with paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“a terrorist act committed by prior agreement or by an organized group”).
The cases of Borisenko and Gavrilishen were divided and will be considered separately in court. They have already been submitted for consideration to the Central District Military Court.
TASS notes that this is the first case of arson of the military registration and enlistment office, which was reclassified as a "terrorist attack." At the end of September, the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces announced that attempts to set fire to military registration and enlistment offices would be considered as terrorist attacks or calls for them.
The arson of the military registration and enlistment office in Nizhnevartovsk became known on May 4. Two young men allegedly threw seven Molotov cocktails into the building. The fire was quickly extinguished, its area was 1 sq. m, no one was hurt.
