In Podolsk, pensioners were detained who tried to set fire to the military enlistment office – video

A married couple of pensioners set fire to the military enlistment office in Podolsk. A 70-year-old man brought a canister of gasoline, moistened a rag, placed it on the window of the building and set it on fire. His 76-year-old wife filmed what was happening on camera. The video was published by the Telegram channel Shot. Almost immediately, a traffic police car drove up to the military registration and enlistment office, and the pensioners were detained. The fire was extinguished and no one was injured as a result of the fire.

After the announcement of mobilization on September 21, military enlistment offices began to be set on fire in Russia. Dozens of videos and photos of burnt buildings of commissariats from different regions have been published on the network. Thus, the Russians show their disagreement with the war and mobilization.

After the arson of military registration and enlistment offices, criminal cases are initiated. For example, in Udmurtia, a court sentenced Ilya Farber, a former rural teacher, to 3 years and 2 months in a strict regime colony for setting fire to a military enlistment office and a recruiting office with a Molotov cocktail.

On December 26, the investigation into the case of the arson of the military registration and enlistment office in Nizhnevartovsk reclassified the charge from "hooliganism" to "terrorist attack." Now the defendants in the case, Vladislav Borisenko and Vasily Gavrilishen, are charged with paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“a terrorist act committed by prior agreement or by an organized group”).

On December 27, it became known that in Kabardino-Balkaria, FSB officers killed two local residents suspected of “preparing an attack on the military registration and enlistment office” during their arrest.

Against 40-year-old Murat Shadov and 55-year-old Timur Marshenkulov, a criminal case was initiated on the preparation of a terrorist act. According to the investigation, they were going to attack the military enlistment office in Chegem. According to the security forces, during the arrest they allegedly resisted and were killed.
