In Kherson, on December 27, the maternity ward of a hospital came under fire from the Russian military. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko.

“They shelled the place where 2 children were born today. Before the attack, doctors managed to complete a caesarean section. There are 5 women in the institution after childbirth,” Tymoshenko wrote. According to him, there were no casualties as a result of the shelling.

Russian troops shell the Kherson region and Kherson itself almost daily, using artillery and MLRS. On December 24 and 25, in total, the region was shelled about a hundred times.

On December 24, 11 people were killed. The head of the military administration of the Kherson region, Yaroslav Yanushevich, also said that 64 residents of Kherson were injured, and 18 people are still in serious condition.

People from Kherson are evacuated by free buses to Odessa via Nikolaev, as well as several times a week from Kherson in other directions: Dnipro, Krivoy Rog, Vinnitsa, Lvov, Kyiv via Uman.

The day before, a video appeared on Telegram channels, which shows that the Russian military used incendiary ammunition on Kherson, which is a war crime. Kherson, captured by the RF Armed Forces in March, was liberated by the Ukrainian army in early November.
