In Moscow, a giant icicle fell from the roof of the General of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation Anatoly Elizarov. According to the press service of the department, the general was hospitalized with serious injuries.
The icicle fell from the roof of the building of the National Crisis Management Center on Initiativnaya Street, where the Dixy store is located. The General of the Ministry of Emergency Situations passed there during his lunch break.
The incident happened on December 27 in the afternoon. Elizarov received a severe head injury. The Dorogomilovskaya inter-district prosecutor's office announced that it had begun an investigation and was going to find out the circumstances and causes of the incident, as well as find those responsible for maintaining and clearing the building of ice.
Elizarov heads the Department of Operational Management at the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
