British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood has died at the age of 81, her fashion house Westwood has announced.
It is specified that this happened in London, Westwood spent the last minutes surrounded by her family. Causes of death were not reported.
Westwood was the founder of high fashion punk style. In particular, the musicians of the punk band Sex Pistols appeared in the clothes of her authorship.
In 2006, Westwood was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for her contributions to fashion.
