Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a contract with Al-Nasr football club from Saudi Arabia. This was reported by the press service of the team.
“This is more than history. This is a signing that will inspire our club, our league, our country and future generations of boys and girls to become the best version of themselves. Cristiano, welcome to your new home."
According to sports insider Fabrizio Romano, a move to Saudi Arabia would make the Portuguese the highest-paid footballer in history. He will receive 200 million euros per year – taking into account commercial payments and income for the role of ambassador.
Al-Nasr is one of the giants of Saudi Arabia, but not the most titled club in the country. Al-Nasr won only 3 Saudi Arabian championships in the 21st century, the last one in 2019.
