The Kremlin sent out a manual to the Russian media on how exactly to sum up the year, what to write and what to focus on. This was reported by Meduza, which had a manual at its disposal. According to the publication, the document is divided into four topics: "The main thing", "Strengthening of Russia", "SVO" and "New world order".
In the “Highlights” section, it is recommended to emphasize that Vladimir Putin, by unleashing the war, saved Russia from an attack by NATO and Ukraine. It also says that since 2014, Western countries have been going to “divide and conquer the Russian people.” The “special operation” is called successful there, the proof of this is proposed to be the fact that Russia “grew the lands” that it actually occupied. The fact that the Ukrainians were able to return Kherson, and Russia could not occupy Zaporozhye, is not mentioned there.
Periodically, the manual contradicts itself. For example, the media are encouraged to write that the process of “demilitarization and denazification” of Ukraine is going well, while it is immediately stated that Russia is fighting not with Ukraine, but with NATO, “the most powerful military machine in the history of mankind”, which “did not break the Russian army” .
“NATO is an enemy of a completely different scale and level than the Kyiv regime. If not for the West, Ukraine would have been demilitarized long ago and accepted Russia's conditions. No one expects quick victories – time works for Russia. In the NMD, the situation is under control: the lull at the front is due to the regrouping of forces and the need to train the mobilized, ”the manual says.
And it is immediately stated that in fact the West is supplying Ukraine with less and less equipment, which contradicts the point about the “most powerful military machine” of NATO.
In the “Strengthening Russia” section, it is recommended to write about how high Putin’s rating is, guided by the data of the state VTsIOM, and write about the “unconditional support of the special operation” by the Russians. The "New World Order" section says that the media should talk about Russia as "the leader of countries" that "do not recognize the exclusivity of the West" and "the leader of a just, democratic and multipolar world." At the same time, Putin “gives Europe a chance to come to its senses” and stop “being a US vassal.”
