Online cinema MTS took off the air New Year’s play with Urgant

The online cinema Kion, created by MTS, took off the air a TV show with host Ivan Urgant and other Russian stars "Incident in the country of Multi-Pulti". This was reported to RBC by the presenter himself.

“The tale was indeed taken off the air. Whether it will be available, I don't know. Why the project was removed, I have no idea. I rate these actions at four with a minus, ”Urgant said.

The performance was supposed to be released on December 31, Urgant posted a poster with the cinema's logo in his Telegram channel. Now the page on the cinema's website is unavailable, the video has been hanging there for several hours. A copy of it is stored in the Google cache. You can still find and watch the performance on other YouTube channels. In addition to Urgant, Alexander Gudkov, Danila Kozlovsky, Sergey Burunov, Ekaterina Varnava, Alexander Petrov, Ksenia Rappoport, Alexei Serebryakov, and other actors starred in the musical show. Some of them expressed an anti-war position. And Gudkov shot a parody of the clip "I'm Russian" by the singer Shaman supporting the war, calling it: "I'm narrow."

On February 24, the day of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Urgant posted an image on his Instagram page with a black background, captioning: "Fear and pain. NO WAR". The show "Evening Urgant" with his participation ceased to air on Channel One, it also became known that the actor would not appear in the film "Yolki-9". At the same time, the channel's management refutes the closure of the program. In addition, in December, Urgant did not host the Golden Gramophone music award for the first time in 15 years; Channel One broadcasts it. Also, Urgant was included in the list of “agents” of foreign influence of the “Group for the Investigation of Anti-Russian Activities in the Sphere of Culture” (“GRAD”), created on the initiative of Zakhar Prilepin. After that, the presenter suggested renaming the "GRAD" to the "Group for Detecting the Enemies of Our Society" ("SHIT").
