The Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian military in Makiivka died due to the use of mobile phones

The Russian military, who were in Makiivka, Donetsk region, died due to the fact that they used mobile phones. This was stated by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“It is already obvious that the main reason for what happened was the inclusion and massive use, contrary to the ban, by personnel of mobile phones in the reach of enemy weapons. This factor allowed the enemy to locate and determine the coordinates of the location of military personnel for a missile attack, ”the ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry of Defense also reported that the death toll in Makiivka increased to 89 people. It is specified that among the dead is a certain Bachurin, lieutenant colonel and deputy regiment commander.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the building of vocational school No. 19 in Makiivka, Donetsk region, where Russian servicemen were stationed, on the night of January 1. According to the Ukrainian side, about 400 people could have died, about 300 could have been injured. Earlier, Andrey Morozov, a Moscow-based blogger, wrote about the problems that the Russian military may face due to the use of cellular communications. Since 2014, he has been serving in the “People’s Militia of the LPR” (14th Territorial Defense Battalion “Ghost”), where he maintains drones and communication systems. Morozov wrote an article discussing the problems of the Russian army, but Roskomnadzor deleted it.
