Roscosmos announced the start of cooperation with Zimbabwe

Roscosmos announced the start of cooperation with the Republic of Zimbabwe on the creation and launch of small satellites, the corporation's press service reports.

“Last year, despite the difficult foreign policy background and sanctions pressure, the Roscosmos State Corporation managed to make significant progress in strengthening international relations. In addition, <…> negotiations were held with the Minister of Higher and Professional Education, Innovation, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Zimbabwe Amon Murvira, during which an agreement was reached on further cooperation in the field of creation and launch of small spacecraft for educational and communications purposes”, – the message says.

Also, among other achievements, Roscosmos reported, in particular, on cooperation and agreements with China, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates and Myanmar.

In 2021, Russia agreed with Sierra Leone not to be the first to place weapons in space, despite the fact that it does not have a space program.
