Canada wins World Youth Ice Hockey Championship transferred from Russia

Team Canada defeated the Czech Republic in the World Youth Championship final. The tournament was held in Halifax, Canada, although it was supposed to be held in Omsk and Novosibirsk, but the World Cup had to be moved from Russia due to sanctions. For the same reason, the national teams of Russia and Belarus could not compete in the championship.

Canada has become a 20-time winner of the tournament. The US team won the bronze medal after beating Sweden in the third place match.

On the eve it became known that Australia will not remove Russian and Belarusian tennis players from the Australian Open tournament. Athletes from these countries will be able to compete without specifying the country and flag.
