About 3,000 employees of Zaporozhye NPP were forced to obtain Russian passports – General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The occupation authorities of Enerhodar forced about 3,000 employees of the Zaporizhzhya NPP to obtain Russian passports. This is stated in the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The city also removed the hryvnia from circulation. Entrepreneurs were threatened with fines and seizure of property if they continued to accept the national currency of Ukraine.

Russia has been terrorizing the station's employees all this time – they are kidnapped, interrogated and tortured. On December 8, two workers were severely beaten , they were taken away in an unknown direction. Another employee, shift supervisor Konstantin Beiner, was detained. He is "directly responsible for nuclear and radiation safety" at ZNPP. The Ukrainian Energoatom claims that the military is trying to win loyalty from the staff and force as many employees as possible to go to the “fake” Zaporozhye NPP Operating Organization JSC, which in fact is run by Rosatom.

In July, it became known about the death of Andrey Goncharuk, a diver of the ZNPP hydroshop, due to torture. They tried to force him to drain the cooling pools of the reactors.
