Aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces arrives in Belarus for “flight-tactical exercises” – Ministry of Defense

Belarus will hold “flight-tactical exercises” with Russia, within the framework of which aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces has already arrived in the republic. This is stated in the message of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense, published on the evening of January 8.

The exercises will take place from January 16 to February 1. The report also says that all airfields and training grounds of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of the armed forces of Belarus will be involved in the exercises.

In December, Belarusian Gayun reported that the Russian Federation was moving tanks, trucks and military personnel from training grounds in Belarus closer to the border with Ukraine. A week before, on behalf of Alexander Lukashenko, an unscheduled check of the combat readiness of the Armed Forces began .

In the fall of 2022, Belarus accused Ukraine of preparing an attack, and back in the spring, at a meeting with Putin, Lukashenka hinted at some intelligence, according to which an attack was being prepared on the republic (this is how he created one of the most popular memes during the war). At the same time, almost all the time, Russia uses the territory of Belarus to launch missiles at Ukraine.
