Military enlistment office set on fire in Irkutsk region – Baza

In Bratsk, Irkutsk region, unknown people set fire to the building of the military commissariat on Ryabinovaya street. A video from the scene and a photo of the burned building was published by the Baza Telegram channel.

Around 2 am on January 9, a security guard saw smoke and called the fire department. According to the channel, unknown people threw a Molotov cocktail through the window of the building. Firefighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire before it engulfed the entire building. They are looking for arsonists.

According to the Shot channel, before the fire, an unknown person in black entered the territory of the military registration and enlistment office, he was noticed on CCTV cameras when they were watching the material. At the time of the fire, there was a female security guard and a policeman in the commissariat.

After the announcement on September 21 of “partial” mobilization in the Russian Federation, military registration and enlistment offices began to be set on fire in different regions. Burnt or damaged buildings of the commissariats can be seen on the video and photos on the network, most often Molotov cocktails were thrown into the windows of the buildings. In some cases, anonymous partisans take responsibility, messages are published on the Telegram channel of the Rospartizan movement. Sometimes Russians who oppose the war unleashed by the Russian Federation in Ukraine and mobilization are detained for arson. One of the latest arson attacks occurred on New Year's holidays, January 1, when two Molotov cocktails were thrown into the fence of the military commissariat in Moscow.
