“Rain” received a license to broadcast in the Netherlands

The Netherlands issued a broadcasting license to Dozhd TV channel. This was told by the editor-in-chief of Dozhd Tikhon Dzyadko to journalist Alexander Plushev. He declined further comment.

On December 6, Latvia annulled Dozhd's broadcasting license after a reservation by presenter Alexei Korostelev, who, in an attempt to fill airtime, made a reservation about supplying Russian conscripts, for which he was fired. According to Ivars Abolins, the head of the National Electronic Media Council of Latvia, the decision was made "in connection with the threat to national security."

The decision was criticized by the Latvian Association of Journalists, calling the annulment decision "disproportionate to the violations committed." According to the association, the presenter made a serious mistake, but a more acceptable way out would be to allow Dozhd to continue to work with a Latvian license, but at the same time "to closely monitor what is broadcast on the air."
