The military commissar of the Samara region, Alexei Vdovin, said that the lists of those who died in Makeevka as a result of the HIMARS strike would not be published. He stated that the list of the names of the dead "can be used by foreign intelligence." The video was published by the Telegram channel “Protocol. Samara. Sota drew attention to this.
“The lists will not be published. All available information in the military commissariats is communicated personally to members of the families of military personnel – either when applying, or, for a number of military personnel, the notification is made personally by employees of the military commissariats. Lists cannot be published. Firstly, this is personal data, and secondly, this, of course, is a job for foreign intelligence agencies to identify and carry out provocative activities of relatives of military personnel. Absolutely forbidden".
The vocational school building in Makiivka was fired upon by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on January 1. Russian conscripts were stationed there. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, 89 people died, most of them were mobilized from the Samara region. Later, a petition was published in which the signatories demanded the publication of a complete list of names of those killed in Makiivka. At the time of writing, the petition has 48,600 signatures.
“War correspondents note that the number of those killed is underestimated. People are in a state of panic. Even if the Ministry of Defense is to be believed, the death toll is comparable to the number of victims of the tragedy in the Winter Cherry and is only half the number of those killed on the Kursk submarine. Considering the violations with which the mobilization took place, we cannot trust the authorities.”
