State Duma Deputy Andrei Lugovoi demanded that the Prosecutor General's Office check the words of singer Valery Meladze, who whispered, taking the microphone away from his face, and answered the slogan "Glory to Ukraine" with the continuation – "Glory to the Heroes." Lugovoi published the text of the statement to the Prosecutor General in his Telegram channel. In it, Lugovoi claims that Meladze needs to be checked, since he "allows himself to glorify a terrorist state."
“Let not all, but “tobacco” flocks will be drawn back to Russia in search of food and protection. Therefore, right now we need to be able to protect our citizens from mangy dogs and everything foreign and ugly and aimed at undermining the sovereignty of the country and our security.”
Meladze's whisper almost immediately became the basis for raising the citation of many Russian politicians. For example, State Duma deputy Elena Drapeko immediately demanded to recognize Meladze as a “foreign agent”, and Elena Afanasyeva, senator from the Orenburg region, did not want to deprive her of citizenship.
Andrei Lugovoy is known primarily as the main suspect in the murder of ex-employee of the Russian special services Alexander Litvinenko. London High Court Judge Robert Owen, following a public inquiry, said that Lugovoy, as well as businessman Dmitry Kovtun, were guilty of murder. It is highly likely that they acted under the leadership of the FSB, the court believes. Their actions were “probably approved” by the then head of the department, Nikolai Patrushev. The report also mentions the name of Vladimir Putin.
