Maxim Galkin will be deprived of KuZbass awards

Comedian Maksim Galkin will be deprived of KuZbass awards – this is how the authorities now write the names of many regions, using the symbols of the war unleashed by Russia in Ukraine "V" and "Z". Governor Sergei Tsivilev wrote about the decision in his Telegram channel, he supported the corresponding appeal of the regional council of veterans.

The Regional Council of Veterans demanded to deprive the artist of the medal "For Faith and Goodness", presented to him in 2004, and the Order of Honor of Kuzbass, awarded in 2013. According to the council of veterans, Galkin is not worthy of domestic awards, as he insulted Russia and "betrayed her interests."

In September, the Ministry of Justice recognized Galkin as a “foreign agent”, indicating Ukraine in the list of funding sources, and “carrying out political activities” as the reason. The artist himself commented on the news about his entry into the register, saying that sincerity and honesty of decent people are not paid.

This year, the New Year's "Blue Light" on "Russia-1" was held for the first time with the participation of the military, who returned from the war with Ukraine, as well as artists supporting the "special operation". Alla Pugacheva, who until 2022 was an integral part of the New Year's programs, did not appear on the air. The singer emigrated from Russia with Galkin.
